20th Anniversary Event
Since March of 1997 the voluntary organisation Opera Society Inc (OS) and Opera Australia (OA), under its several guises, have developed and enjoyed a harmonious and mutually rewarding association.
The lunch held on March 23, 2017 at the Alexandra Club, Melbourne celebrates twenty (20) years of fruitful co-operation between the two bodies dedicated to the performance and enjoyment of Opera in Melbourne.
Lyndon Terracini on behalf of OA thanked the OS and its members for their invaluable voluntary support over so many years whilst looking forward to our continued assistance into the future.
OS President Valma Allaway responded by thanking Lyndon and OA for their interest and co-operation over the past 20 years.
Lyndon then presented Valma with a framed picture of Cheryl Barker AO as Cio-Cio-San in OA's performance of Madama Butterfly Directed by Moffatt Oxenbould AM in 1997.
The anniversary was greatly enjoyed by all who attended and considered a resounding success.
